The primary purpose of the ASB is to make reliable data about the global oil and gas industry easily and publicly available. It thus functions as an important source of data for all of the different stakeholders in the oil industry, while also ensuring greater data-sharing and data transparency about the industry and its many actors. This has long been one of the Organization’s objectives.
